Kalypso Media has released a new “How-To-Play” trailer for its upcoming railroad simulation game, Railway Empire (2018). Beginning in the 1830, the game covers 100 years of railroad development in North America, with five distinct eras of steam innovation.
Railway Empire requires prospective rail tycoons to acquire train sets, own stations, and carefully manage their employees. As the following how-to video shows, the planning of a route can be undertaken in either “simple” or “complex” game mode; in the latter, players must skillfully place switches and signals to avoid both mishaps and unnecessary wait times between trains. With over 40 historically-detailed locomotive engines to employ, Railway Empire also warns that your rail business needs to “keep up with the times.” Padded seats and onboard toilets, anyone?
Railway Empire will launch for Xbox One, Sony PS4, and PC (personal computer) platforms in the first quarter of 2018. Players can take on up to three rival rail barons as they lay their tracks and build their legacy. For an earlier preview of the game, visit the railswestern.com link New Rail Sim Game.
