A new exhibit at the Pasadena Museum of History in California is examining art motivated by the world of the railroad. The Art of Getting There: Railroad Inspired Artistry, which runs from March 29th to August 13th, displays a variety of works ranging from paintings to sculpture to photography. Periods for the art stretch from the 19th century to the contemporary era.
The Art of Getting There: Railroad Inspired Artistry includes pieces from the Mount Lowe Preservation Society as well as private collections. Additionally, a number of works were specifically created for the exhibit.
