CHICAGO TRANSPORTATION CENTER HOSTING TRAINS MAGAZINE TALK ON CHICAGO ISSUE
The Northwestern University Transportation Center (Evanston, Illinois) is set to host a presentation with two editors from Trains magazine to discuss that periodical’s new Chicago special issue. The February 16th event features David Lassen and Jim Wrinn, who will talk about their new 100-page Chicago, America’s Railroad Capital, and rail operations in the city.
Associate Editor Lassen supervised the production of the Chicago special issue and accompanying 60-minute DVD. Editor Wrinn has helmed Trains magazine since 2004. In addition to reflecting upon their new project, they will discuss why it is important to document rail events in Chicago, the key railroad hub for the North American continent.
The Feb. 16th brown bag luncheon event is sponsored by the center’s Sandhouse Rail Group and takes place at Metra Headquarters in Chicago. The talk runs from 11:30am – 1:30pm and further event information can be found at the link Chicago: RR Capital.
