NORTH AMERICAN STEAM LOCOMOTIVE GUIDE – TRAINS MAGAZINE SPECIAL
Trains magazine has announced the availability its newly-revised Guide to North American Steam Locomotives (2016). First authored by the late George H. Drury, this 330-plus-page book contains every steam locomotive built since 1900 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Guide to North American Steam Locomotives features 420 photos and detailed rosters for every railroad. The histories of various locomotive builders and styles of locomotives are also highlighted. The power and drama of steam trains have been featured throughout the Western genre, from the very first Western film, The Great Train Robbery (1903), to the current AMC TV series Hell on Wheels (2011-Present).
