Forsaken, the upcoming Western starring father and son, Donald and Kiefer Sutherland, has now released its first official trailer. The Alberta-shot movie has its general North American debut on February 19th. The Sutherlands play father & son characters in the film.
Directed by Jon Cassar, Kiefer Sutherland is John Henry Clayton, a man trying to leave his gunslinging past behind. Donald Sutherland is the now-widowed Reverend William Clayton, to whom John Henry returns several years after the US Civil War. John Henry’s determination to forsake violence is tested by his Wyoming hometown, as a local tycoon seeks to drive area farmers from their land so as to re-sell that acreage to the oncoming railroad.
Forsaken also includes Demi Moore as John Henry’s former love-interest. Brian Cox is the tycoon businessman James McCurdy, aided by his lead gunman, Gentleman Dave (Michael Wincott). Fans of two TV Western series will be able to see two former actors in new roles – Siobhan Williams (Hell on Wheels, Season 3) and Aaron Poole (Strange Empire – 2014 to 2015).
