Trains, the monthly magazine focused on railroads and trains in the US and Canada, has announced a special issue dedicated to railroading in Colorado. COLORADO RAILROADS (2016) is a 100-page issue that explores such topics as the history and importance of railroads in that state, the newly-renovated and re-opened Denver Union Station, and the Moffat Tunnel route, which cuts thru the Continental Divide.

Union Station in Denver re-opened in 2014 after four years of extensive renovations and in addition to serving as an Amtrak station, now also offers accommodation, dining, lounges, and shopping. It has been re-configured as a social hub for downtown Denver and this writer has found it a great space for rail passengers.

      1. Thanks for that info, Tim. I’ve seen the special issue at a chain retail bookseller as well.
