Quentin Tarantino, who brought his singular directing style to the Western genre in 2012 with Django Unchained, has announced that his next film will again be a Western. Speaking on NBC’s The Tonight Show at the end of November, Tarantino shared with host Jay Leno that he had enjoyed the process of making a Western with Django Unchained and now felt more informed to make another.

In the following interview clip, Tarantino talks about the Django Unchained graphic novel series that DC comics created from his original script, his intention to do another Western and aspects of his writing process:

UPDATE (Jan.22nd, 2014) : Tarantino has now stated he has abandoned plans to film another Western following a script leak.

UPDATE (August 2014) : Tarantino has announced that the previously-abandoned film project is now slated to proceed.
